World Heritage Day

“A People without the knowledge of their past, origin, and culture is like a tree with no roots.” – Markus Garvey

Every day people all over the world celebrate their cultural heritage, simply by living their lives in a way that symbolizes who they are and where they came from. But one day a year is set aside to celebrate the joint history and heritage of the human race. Every year, April 18, is celebrated as World Heritage Day to commemorate its rich cultural heritage.

World Heritage Day, which is also known as the International Monuments and Sites Day encourages us to celebrate all the world’s cultures, and to bring awareness of the importance of preserving the world’s cultures.

International Monuments and Sites Day was observedby the students of class 7 with enthusiasm through speeches, power point presentations on heritage sites and artwork.
