Constitution Day Celebration

Cultivation of mind should be the ultimate aim of human existence.”- BR Ambedkar

Constitution Day is an important day for any student, a day to remind each student that she or he is the inheritor of the world whose workings rely upon her/him. Constitution Day does give us a chance to be gratefulto look back and thank those who wrote our Constitution, the entire philosophy of our country. It also gives us the opportunity to reflect upon all these years of sovereignty, and strike to seek change, to contribute towards it.

The students of class V to IX didn’t leave any stone unturned when it came to celebrate this momentous occasion their own way. Starting with the reading of the preamble and the constitutional pledge, followed by a session of the constituent assembly, where each participating child enacted as a member of the original constituent assembly, and finished spectacularly by a thought-provoking discussion mentored by the teacher, they did not let the day pass by like any other.
They made e-posters, posters, presentations and sketches and had a session on the importance of our Constitution. This activity inspired them to become responsible citizens of this great country.

They portrayed historic characters like Ammu Swaminathan, Vallabhbhai Patel, Renuka Ray and many more and had an open and frank discussion about the changes we need to seek to bring the dreams come true of a perfect country,India. Constitution Day’s essence was enhanced and cherished by all students.
